In the light of a violent proliferation of M.2 standard in mobile and desktop PCs, a number of manufacturers shifted their production into this segment. ASUS VivoPC X will be on sale in March 2017 at the price of $800. Inner components of the device are protected from overheating due to the heat pipe cooling system and plenty of vents. In addition, this novelty features 802.11ac Wi-Fi, the Gigabit Ethernet, two HDMI ports and a DisplayPort with the NVIDIA G-Sync technology support. The 512 GB SSD is used for data storage, and the connectivity possibilities are provided by four USB 3.1 and two USB 2.0 ports. ASUS VivoPC X is equipped with a Kaby Lake Intel Core i5 CPU, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card and 8 GB of RAM memory. At the same time, it’s worth admitting, that the hardware is intended rather for beginners than for old hands at the game. The VivoPC X desktop computer by ASUS is not bigger than an Xbox One and weighs approximately 2.3 kg only, however, it’s a fully-featured PC, operated by Windows 10 and supporting VR.
